1. Earth-Toned Nurseries
We’re still seeing a ton of neutral nurseries trending in 2024, but now we’re seeing more earth tones in these spaces rather than just tan and shades of white. Shades of green (so popular it’s getting its own section), coppers, and other earthy tones are a popular way to bring a pop of color into the nursery.
2. Sage Green Nurseries
The most popular earth tone shade, sage green, is absolutely having it’s moment in home decor in general. It looks stunning in nursery too.
I see a lot of sage green as an accent wall and in small accents like crib sheets, rugs, and curtain drapes.

3. Board & Batten Accent Walls
Accent walls are the perfect way to really elevate a nursery. Board and Batten is the perfect way to create an accent wall because it brings interest and dimension into the room.

4. Faux Olive Trees
The olive tree trend is still going strong in general home decor, and I love seeing them in the nursery as well!
5. Rattan Storage Pieces
We’re still seeing pieces of the bohemian nursery with natural wood and all the rattan! Rattan brings both texture and elements of nature into the space.
I especially love the look of rattan baskets and organizers, like the three-tiered rattan shelf below. It’s a perfect accessory to the changing table area of the nursery, storing extra diapers, wipes, and other changing station essentials.
You can also bring rattan into the nursery in more subtle ways, like with a changing table basket or decorative mirror.
Also, I’m swooning over this rug (pictured below) that would go perfectly with any earth-toned nursery!

6. Classic Nursery Themes
We’re seeing a resurgence of the classic nursery theme in 2024 and beyond! Themes like Winnie the Pooh are coming back in popularity (& they never truly go out of style, because they’re classics).

7. Wallpapered Accent Walls
Wallpaper is not going anywhere anytime soon, and we’re still seeing stunning nursery accent walls with peel and stick wallpaper.
8. Cottage Core Nursery
Minimalism is on the way out and maximalist themes like cottage core are currenting the top trends we’re seeing.
Speaking of the whimsical, cottage core trend – mushrooms and trending in nursery decor. I think it’s the cutest. Bring this trend into your nursery in small ways, like with a decorative basket or accent pillow.
9. Whimsical Woodland Theme
Anything whimsical seems to really be taking off in nursery trends right now, and I think it’s because we’ve been seeing so much minimalist over the last several years, that we’re longing for the exact opposite.
The woodlands theme is a classic and can blend really well with the cottage core vibe, making it a whimsical nursery ideas that any little one would love.
